I mentioned earlier that I'd tried a lot of foundations. I couldn't seem to find something I liked enough. There will be plenty of foundation reviews on here, I promise, because I've got a lot of opinions.
Now, everyone on Youtube was talking about this guy here. I hadn't had much luck with previous Covergirl foundations, but I have a problem and I can't walk into a drugstore without buying some makeup unless I'm forcefully maneuvered away. So I gave it a go.
This foundation looks so nice and natural. It's not super matte, not very dewy, just natural. It lasts most of the day too. I work in a bookshop so it's not like I'm out running marathons or anything of the sort, but I do work my makeup. It wears a bit, just fades by the end, but you still look good.
And it passes the shoulder test. When this sets, it's set. It isn't going to transfer onto someone else's shirt unless you really try. Which is a thing I test often because I'm really tactile and if my hands are full I'll get my point across by headbutting or nuzzling your shoulder.
BUT, and this makes me so sad, it breaks me out.
I gave it a break the first time it happened, to make sure it was the foundation and nothing else. It's the foundation. It's nothing awful, but my skin has been doing so well that it just kills me to see these little blemishes pop up.
It's heartbreaking. Now I have to find a different foundation to leave at the boything's house.
